Halifax County Motor Speedway will return to racing Saturday September 14th as the Speedway will present its final event of the 2024 race season. September 14th race program will include the Ultimate Super Late Model Series paying $5,000 to win along with racing in the Carolina Sprint Tour, Limited Sportsman, Street Stock, Stock V8, and JuiceBox. The Carolina Sprint Tour event will be paying $1,500 to win. Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 6:00 PM with on track action to follow. Halifax County Motor Speedway will return to racing Saturday August 24th as the Speedway will present the "Back to School Race". August 24th race program will include 602 Crate Late Model, Street Stock, Stock V8, Super Stock 4 Cylinder, Pure Stock 4 Cylinder, Sport Compact FWD, and Legends. Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 6:00 PM with on track action to follow. There will be a school supplies giveaway at intermission. Halifax County Motor Speedway Saturday August 10th Event Update

The "3rd Annual Joe Huss Memorial" event scheduled for Saturday August 10th at Halifax County Motor Speedway is still on schedule; However Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series officials have made decision to postpone their part of the event due to Tropical Storm Debby that affected parts of the East Coast and the Carolinas this past week. Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series and Halifax County Motor Speedway officials are working on a suitable make up date for the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series event.

The updated race program for Saturday August 10th at Halifax County Motor Speedway will include the Carolina Outlaw Super Street Series, Street Stock, Stock V8, Super Stock 4 Cylinder, Pure Stock 4 Cylinder, Sport Compact FWD, Mod Lites, Legends, and JuiceBox. Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 6:00 PM with on track action to follow.

Reminder to all competitors the Street Stock and Pure Stock 4 Cylinder divisions have been added to the race program.

There will be no entry fee any class except the COSSS Series.

Halifax County Motor Speedway will return to racing August 9th-10th for a double header weekend as the Speedway will present the "3rd Annual Joe Huss Memorial" event headlined by the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series paying $5,000 to win along with with $500 to start on Saturday August 10th's portion of the event. The Speedway will also be having a event for Late Model competitors on Friday August 9th's portion of the event paying $3,000 to win along with $300 to start.

On Friday August 9th the race program will include Late Model, Limited Sportsman, Street Stock, Stock V8, Sport Compact FWD, Legends, and JuiceBox. Pit gates will open at 4:00 PM. Grandstand gates will open at 5:30 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 6:45 PM with on track action to follow.

Halifax County Motor Speedway July 20th Event Update

Officials of the Mid-East Racing Association along with officials at Halifax County Motor Speedway have postponed the events for the Mid-East Racing Association portion of the July 20th event at the Speedway due to weather and travel concerns. Halifax County Motor Speedway is currently still on schedule to race its local divisions for Saturday July 20th which will include Street Stock, Limited Sportsman, Stock V8, and the first ever appearance of the Bell & Bell Modifieds.

Street Stock Competitors: There will be no entry fee for the Street Stock division on July 20th. 12 cars or more entered the event will pay $1,000 win. 11 cars and under entered the event will pay $600 to win.

Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 6:00 PM with on track action to follow.

Halifax County Motor Speedway will present its 2024 season opener Saturday April 13th as the Speedway will host the return of the Modified Mafia Tour paying $2,000 to win along with racing in Late Model, the Carolina Outlaw Super Street Series, Street Stock, Stock V8, and Super Stock 4 Cylinder. Pit gates will open at 3:00 PM. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 PM. Drivers meeting is set for 6:00 PM with on track action to follow. Halifax County Motor Speedway Open Practice For Thursday April 11th Postponed; Rescheduled For Friday April 12th

Due to rain and the current weather forecast open practice scheduled for Thursday April 11th at Halifax County Motor Speedway has been postponed. Weather permitting the Speedway has rescheduled open practice for Friday April 12th. All divisions are welcomed. Gates will open at 5:30 PM with practice from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Gate fee will be $20 per person with ages 2 and under free. The general admission grandstand area will not be open.

Halifax County Motor Speedway will be having a open practice on Thursday April 11th for all divisions. Gates will open at 5:30 PM with practice from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Gate fee will be $20 per person with ages 2 and under free. The general admission grandstand area will not be open.

Halifax County Motor Speedway Gears Up For The 2024 Race Season

Halifax County Motor Speedway is excited to release its 2024 schedule of events as the Speedway prepares for the up coming season. Halifax County Motor Speedway has currently scheduled twelve action packed weekends of racing (Weather Permitting) at the "Red Clay Bullring".

The season at the Speedway is set to begin with open practice in which will be held for competitors on Thursday April 11th. On Saturday April 13th the Speedway will begin its 2024 race season with its first event with racing in Late Model, the Modified Mafia Tour, the Carolina Outlaw Super Street Series, Street Stock, Stock V8, and Super Stock 4 Cylinder. Fans and competitors are encouraged to mark this event down on your calendars and join us as we open the 2024 season at the "Red Clay Bullring".

Halifax County Motor Speedway will present many special events in 2024 with many different Series' making appearances at the Speedway. The Wells family has made racing at Halifax a fan favorite and look forward to these events this season. A preview of some of the exciting events scheduled at Halifax County Motor Speedway in 2024 will include the Ultimate Super Late Model Series for two events, the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series for one event, the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series for one event, the Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge Series for one event, the Modified Mafia Tour for two events, the Carolina Sprint Car Tour for two events, the Carolina Outlaw Super Street Series for four events, the Monster Mini Stock Association for one event, and the Bell & Bell Modified Tour for one event. Mid-East Super Late Models, 602 Late Models, Modifieds, and Street Stocks will also be in action at the Speedway.

Along with these exciting events lined for the 2024 race season at the Speedway; Weekly racing will also be on tap for race weekends.

There will be many divisions throughout 2024 to compete at the Speedway including Super Late Model, Late Model, 602 Crate Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, 602 Modified, Limited Sportsman, Street Stock, Stock V8, Super Stock 4 Cylinder, Pure Stock 4 Cylinder, Sport Compact FWD, Mod Lites, and Sprint Cars. The Speedway will also be having a JuiceBox division for kids.

Halifax County Motor Speedway 2023 Race Season Awards Ceremony January 27th

Halifax County Motor Speedway will be having its 2023 race season awards ceremony on January 27, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the American Legion Building located at 717 American Legion Rd in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina (27870). The track will be honoring the top five in the final 2023 point standings in the following divisions: I-95 Late Model, HCMS Late Model, Super Street, Stock V8, Super Stock 4 Cylinder, Pure Stock 4 Cylinder, and Sport Compact FWD. Tickets will go on sale January 5, 2024. The deadline to purchase tickets will be January 20, 2024. Tickets are $25 per person. Contact Halifax County Motor Speedway if you plan to attend.
